On the middle day of the conference we hold a ceilidh: a traditional celtic social dance. Whilst we can't hope to explain it to you, we'll give you some information and advice.
First off, dress code - it's smart casual (emphasis on the smart), but wear sensible shoes - you'll be doing a lot of moving around.
Bring a bottle of water - a ceilidh is quite active, and the hall tends to get very warm.
Don't expect to be dancing with one person all night. You'll move between partners several times in one dance.
Most important of all, have fun. It's almost as good as debating!
