This clock measures the number of minutes to catastrophic destruction of the planet, as judged by the MCBMUN chairs from the actions of the conference, and the events which occur during it. It's based on an original concept from the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, who created it in 1947 to measure the risk of global nuclear war using a clock counting down to midnight. Remember, anybody might cause a change in the doomsday clock, so be careful what you say, what you do, and what you don't do!
